ReplyDeleteI find the preview of Grey's Anatomy' season finale to be highly insensitive on a number of levels. Ostomy surgery is certainly life changing, but it is not life ending and "gross" as they have described it in this episode and one earlier. It is one thing to share a "patients" perspective or frustrations, however, they could offer the alternative view point which emphasizes the benefits and life saving/enhancing aspects of Ostomy surgery as well. They are sending a message to patients struggling with the decision of Ostomy surgery, that it is better to die than have this surgery.
That is inexcusable.
nope I am angry as hell now. I loved grey's anatomy until I saw this. It is inexcusable that the writers have written such a negative take on what a large percentage of people world wide live with and face everyday of their lives. This is wrong... incredibly wrong and should not be allowed to air.
